Wheat & Tares

A Vision and a Word from the Lord
April 4, 2017

While in prayer this past week, I saw a large field, full of golden stalks, as far as the eye could see. As soon as I saw it, I noticed that every stalk had a ripened ear on its top. Immediately, the Lord asked me this question: “Do you know why there is such evil in the world as never before?” My mind went to all the riots, to ISIS, to the perverseness, the obstinance and rebellion we are seeing today and the total hatred of all that is holy. He said, “The harvest is ripe! What did I say about the wheat and the tares? They would grow together until the time of the harvest. The tares have grown and become ripened. This is the fruit in them that you are seeing manifesting. It is almost time! They will be cut down and it will be as though a terror has utterly come upon them. This is MY field and MY harvest.”

The fear of the Lord came on me in that moment but also a overwhelming relief as I then understood why God has been allowing these things to take place. It is not that He has not seen all that has been happening. It has not gone ignored. The time is not yet, but it is coming and every wicked thing that exalts itself will be cut down and burned in the fire.

It’s time to repent. It’s time to live holy before the Lord. It’s time to give our lives to the things of God, to His purposes and His will.

The parable of “The Wheat and the Tares” is in Matthew 13:24-30
